Description

We are looking for talented individuals seeking to kick start an exciting and rewarding career in Accounting and Tax.  Our Apprentice role within the Private Client Tax Team offers extensive practical work experience together with structured training and we currently have vacancies in our Heathrow office.  We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic with a strong work ethic. 

This role will start in August 2023.

 

The ATT Apprentice role provides you with the opportunity to build your career in a competitive business environment.  On a day-to-day basis you will build client relationship and commercial skills while supporting the delivery of tax services to entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals.

The structured classroom focused training allows you to achieve the ATT qualification (Level 4 qualification).  We pay the costs towards your professional exams including tuition courses, study manuals, textbooks and examination fees.

During the Trainee Programme you will receive paid study leave to attend all the tuition courses, in addition to your annual holiday.  

The role does not need to stop at ATT level; there is then the opportunity to move onto CTA, the prestigious Chartered tax qualification which is a level 7 qualification. 

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax computations for individuals trusts and partnerships.
  • Assisting with the preparation of income and expense accounts for the above.
  • Assisting more senior colleagues in gathering information and communicating with clients; building relationships throughout.
  • Assisting with tax planning advisory projects which often includes capital tax planning and may involve cross border issues.
  • Co-ordinating team input on advisory projects.
  • Communicating with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients where authorised to do so.
  • Accompanying senior members of the team at meetings with clients.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent
  • 5 GCSEs grades A*- C or 9-4 (Maths and English Language preferred) or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to learn and ability to be flexible
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain work-life-study balance to meet required deadlines
  • Willingness to contribute as part of a team
  • All candidates will be required to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the training contract.
