Description

Menzies LLP is actively looking to identify a talented individual to establish a dedicated transfer pricing service line. The successful candidate will lead a vital role in creating, shaping, and building the service line and will be responsible for servicing existing clients across our offices in London, Hampshire and Surrey with a focus on actively winning new work and promoting this service line.

 

The Transfer Pricing Director will provide a positive contribution to the development of the firm resulting in building a team and top line revenues by active promotion of this specialist service line.

 

This role can be based in one of our London, Surrey or Hampshire offices with a regular commute to the other offices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To build a successful transfer pricing service line
  • To work with the existing transfer pricing expertise within the firm
  • Provide transfer pricing advice to a range of clients across the firm
  • Ability to specifically develop the firm’s offering on economic analysis.
  • Support the tax teams and other service lines on advisory projects
  • Deliver the transfer pricing business plan each year with budget responsibility.
  • Provide a high-quality service to clients, partners, managers and staff.  
  • Develop and maintain contacts with external organisations, businesses etc.
  • Assist in promoting the image of the firm to outside contacts.
  • Recruit and develop staff when required to deliver the business plan.
  • To generate work winning opportunities and attract new clients.

 

 

The Person:

  • To have the vision and passion to create a transfer pricing team
  • Preferably CTA/ACA qualified with at least 5 years PQE in transfer pricing
  • Trained with a Top 10 accountancy firm or in-house
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical written work
  • Confident self-starter and ability to develop and lead a team
  • Must have good research and analytical skills
  • Must have good awareness of risk management
  • Capable of dealing with a wide range of people and at different levels
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experienced and active networker with BD skills
  • Good presenter
  • Prepared to travel to all Menzies offices as necessary
  • In-depth understanding of transfer pricing principles (UK rules and OECD Guidelines) and documentation requirements
  • Extensive hands-on experience of using external databases and analysing and summarising results.
  • Knowledge and vision to develop the internal tools needed to deliver the full range of TP services including economic analysis/benchmarking.
